Theater Classes

Parker Theatre Academy - Showtime

Level 1: Ages 6-9
Parker Theatre Academy offers actor training using story elements from How to Train Your Dragon. Join Level 1 as we develop the beloved Viking characters: Hiccup, Astrid, Stoick, the Vast and of course, Toothless to create a short play using new acting skills, musical theatre, and improvisation. Students may join classes monthly, but are encouraged to be involved the entire semester as each class builds on the skills learned from previous classes. We will perform our short play in December before a live audience.
Level 2: Ages 10-12 / Level 3: Ages 13-18
Parker Theatre Academy offers personalized acting training to all ages of students. The first six weeks focus on individualized performance and audition skills. The second six weeks focus on rehearsal for a showcase held in December for family and friends. Students may join classes monthly, but are encouraged to be involved the entire semester as each class builds on the skills learned in the previous class. We emphasize being a quadruple threat by focusing on acting for the stage, dancing and singing for musical theater, and improvisation. No class 10/14 for fall break or 11/25 for Thanksgiving.
