Parker Arts Announces 2020 Portfolio Day Awards
Parker Arts presented the fourth annual Portfolio Day and Bright Futures Student Exhibit on March 6, 2020, where 65 Douglas County junior and senior art students had their portfolios critiqued by professionals in the industry, spoke with college recruiters regarding art programs and scholarships, and participated in a curated student art exhibit titled Bright Futures at the Parker Arts Culture and Events Center (PACE Center). Participating students were from Legend High School, Ponderosa High School, Chaparral High School, Douglas County High School, Lutheran High School, and Valor Christian High School.
This year’s Portfolio Day secured several scholarship and internship opportunities from the Parker Artist Guild, RMCAD Outreach Scholarship Fund, UC Denver’s LYNX National Arts & Media Camps, and Metro State’s Visual Arts Gallery Teen Internship Program.
