Summer Break Camps
Summer Planning with Parker Arts
Thank you for your interest in Parker Arts summer programming. Staff and our contracted camp providers are anxiously waiting to hear from Tri County Health Department and the Town of Parker regarding when we can open summer camps, and what safety precautions they are requiring.
In the meantime, we are keeping camp registration open by lowering camp maximums to 9 or 12 depending on what is needed by the contracted camp provider. Families have the ability to join a wait list free of charge in the event we may be permitted to have more participants in a classroom. Any camp that already has over 9 enrollments will be closed until we have more guidance, but we encourage families to join the wait list.
When we do open our doors, Parker Arts and contracted camp providers have set into place new practices to conduct in-person learning and hands-on activities while continuing to keep all participants safe and help prevent the spread of COVID19.
New processes will include but is not limited to:
- Limited enrollment and social distancing practices (such as lowering enrollment maximums and having one student per table);
- Consistent grouping of students and instructors to minimize the amount of interaction;
- Eating snack inside classroom and lunch outdoors with sufficient social distancing;
- Ensure adequate supplies to minimize sharing of high touch materials, limit use to one student or one group where possible, and clean materials between uses;
- Additional hygiene supplies and scheduled hand sanitizing breaks inside classroom;
- Maintaining facility disinfecting schedule; and
- Encourage staff and students to stay home if someone they have come in contact with has recently traveled, known to have the 2019 Coronavirus, or if they have the onset of cold/flu symptoms or respiratory symptoms.
2020 Summer Recreation and Cultural Brochure
Given the rapidly changing environment due to COVID-19, and as we are considering cost-saving measures, we have decided to cancel the printing and mailing of the Summer 2020 Recreation and Cultural Activity Brochure and offer an online-only edition at here.
Summer 2020 camp registration is open!
Parker Arts is excited to partner with some of the best enrichment providers in Colorado to offer a fun and educational summer for kids. Camps offered include half-day and full-day options from June 1 through July 31. To create a full day of enrichment, you may register to a morning camp and an afternoon camp in the same week and attend a supervised lunch hour (Lunch Bunch).
Weekly summer camps at Parker Arts are run by contracted enrichment providers. Camp curriculum and communication is provided by the enrichment provider. Camp registration is through Parker Arts.
Summer Lunch Bunch Full Day Option
If your child is enrolled for both a morning camp (9:00am-12:00pm) and an afternoon camp (1:00pm-4:00pm) during the same week they are eligible to stay for Lunch Bunch (free supervised lunch hour from 12:00pm-1:00pm). Please call 303-805-3374 or email PACEedu@parkeronline.org to reserve your child a spot in Lunch Bunch for any week(s) that they are enrolled in both a Parker Arts morning camp and a Parker Arts afternoon camp.
